Volunteer

The Flint Hills International Children’s Festival is an annual highlight for thousands of children and families as the Ordway and surrounding areas transform with music, dance, art activities, and public art installations. The entire festival is made possible by the generous help of our volunteers! We could not make the Flint Hills International Children’s Festival happen without the many people that donate their time. Volunteering at the Festival is a fun way to give back to the community and meet artists of all kinds. We hope you consider volunteering this year!

The Ordway is currently looking for a variety of volunteers for the following positions:

Crossing Guards | School Walking | Path Escorts | Story Time Garden | Set-up and Take down | Festival Runner | And Many More!

Each volunteer shift runs between 3 and 4 hours. Volunteers also receive a free t-shirt, free parking, and free food in the hospitality area.  Even if you volunteer for just one shift, any and all participation is much appreciated.

All volunteers must pass a background check. You will receive an email from the Ordway Human Resources Department with further information on background checks.
